Ghost Beach I went to the beach one summer evening. The sun hung low and everyone had finally left, leaving the sandy shore barren and lonely. I sat in the pale peach colored earth, continually letting it sift through my long tan fingers. The surf roared and pounded the land. I looked out over the water and felt suddenly small and unimportant. I heard a dog bark. The simple sound made me jump and I jerked my head in the direction of the noise. There was nothing but empty beach. A gentle breeze blew my brown hair into my face, as it was coming from my left and I was staring, brow furrowed to my right.  I heard it again, sharp and distinct

War It’s horrible isn’t it? Well, actually it isn’t, so long as you don’t think about it. But when you do…it’s absolutely horrifying. Dry, dusty earth compact and brown stained dark with blood. The air is full of shouts and screams and orders. The sun beats down on your back as bullets and ammunition whistle and screech past your head. The battle is full of near misses and almost-but-never-were’s. You’re killing people. You cant think about it. You just have to focus that scope and pull that trigger.
